		<description>The way to operate a sport so that your country stays at the top of it and so that it is popular, is to make sure all the events are in your country.  So make up a sport based on squash, put 'Aussie Rules' before its name, and you're onto a winner.  Maybe.

Consider the UK, and snooker.  Snooker is, every so often, very very popular, even outstripping the soap operas (which are akin to religions for some).  If you are not from the UK, and want to play snooker professionally, you have to live in the UK, really, as many venues are prohibitively far from airports.

Plus, not many foreigners want to wear those waistcoats.
